Cialis (tadalafil) is taken once a day. You should keenly follow the directions of your doctor and never take larger or smaller doses than recommended. You can take the tablet with or without food. The initial dose for erectile dysfunction is 10mg. The maintenance dose can be increased to 20mg or reduced to 5mg. It depends on the effectiveness of the drug on a patient. For the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, the recommended dose is 5mg, daily.
Cialis will help you get an erection only after sexual stimulation.
Cialis is not indicated for use in women. It is, however, not expected to cause any harm to an unborn baby. Tadalafil is also not expected to pass into breast milk or harm a breastfeeding baby.

You should never use nitrate based drugs together with Cialis. Combing the two can cause severe drop in blood pressure. Your doctor should also understand your medical history.
Seek emergency medical help if your erection is painful or if it last for more than 4 hours. Prolonged erections can cause damage to your penis. You should also contact your doctor immediately if you have sudden vision loss.
Stop the sexual activity and seek emergency medical attention if you feel dizzy, nauseated, or have pain, tingling or numbness in the chest, neck, arms or jaw. These are signs of serious side effects.
Don’t use Cialis if you are using Adcirca to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.
