Asthalin tablets containing Albuterol are bronchodilators which help in the treatment of breathing ailments such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Asthalin tablets are also useful in the treatment of asthma developed from exercise routines. Albuterol belongs to a class of medications which are known as short acting, selective beta-2- adrenergic receptor agonist. You should use Asthalin tablets exactly as recommended by your doctor. Your doctor may suggest a dosage of Asthalin tablets depending on your medical requirement, body weight, other medical conditions, and current medications. Asthalin tablets should be taken at least twice a day with a glass of water, before or after a meal. Try to maintain a regular schedule for the medication such that you take Salbutamol Sulphate tablets at the same time every day, to get the maximum benefit of the medication. Doctors usually recommend a dosage of 8 mg administered every 12 hours in adults and children over 12 years of age. In some patients, a dosage of 4 mg Salbutamol Sulphate tablets provides an adequate result. In children between the ages of 6 and 12 years, the recommended dosage is 4 mg every 12 hours. Your doctor may alter the dosage of Albuterol tablets and dosage period depending on your response to treatment. However, adults and children above the age of 12 years should not be administered more than 32 milligrams of Asthalin tablets in a day, while children between the ages of 6 to 12 years should not take more than 24 milligrams of Salbutamol Sulphate tablets in a day. Albuterol tablets (Asthalin) cannot be administered in cases of sudden breathing attacks. For such sudden breathing cases, doctors usually recommend a quick-relief inhaler during the course of treatment with Asthalin tablets.
Use Asthalin exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Always keep the inhaler upright during the loading of the dose and administration steps. If you can feel a slightly sweet tasting powder in your mouth after inhaling, you have received the dose and the active substance has reached your lungs. During use, regularly wipe the mouthpiece with a fibre-free tissue or soft cloth. Always replace the inhaler cap after you have used the inhaler. Always tell your doctor if you suffer from an over active thyroid gland. Take special precaution if you experience chest pains. Take special care with salbutamol if you suffer from any disease of the heart.
